The final 198 page document, includes a property tax increase of $2,438,000 dollars. The 5 year plan also approves a total increase in our property taxes of $9,227,000 dollars by 2027! (Page 198 – Final Financial plan – June 23, 2023)…

Extreme weather has affected vast areas of North America in 2023. Benjamin Kirtman, professor of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Miami is most shocked by the rapidly warming ocean waters. He said, “It’s completely out of bounds.”
The White Rock Homeowners Association has been formed as a Member funded Society for the primary purpose of providing an online presence to encourage respectful dialogue about issues that matter to our community.
The reason for launching this initiative is that other than the local newspaper “Letters to the Editor” column and some “Facebook” sites, there really is nowhere for residents and particularly homeowners who pay property taxes to go to initiate conversations or participate in a continuing forum about local government.
On May 1, 2023, the newly elected Mayor and Council for the City of White Rock approved a 96 Million Dollar Financial Plan for 2023.
The final 198 page document, includes a property tax increase of 2,557,000 dollars. The 5 year plan also approves a total increase in our property taxes of 9,266,000 dollars by 2027! (Page 35 – Final Financial plan – April 17, 2023)
